The Biomes Center is open to the public every Sunday throughout the year, as well as all Rhode Island school vacations and holidays (except Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Summer hours are Sunday to Friday from July 1st to September 1st.

All public hours are from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Plan one hour to see all of the exhibits. Please use our directions.

Admission is $5 per person 3 and over. We do not accept debit or credit cards.
(Hands-on activities are for children 3 years old and up.)

During public hours we will be conducting feeding demonstrations at the following times:

12:00 - Darwin the tortoise's exercise time
12:30 - Shrimp-fed seahorses
1:00 - Hand feeding horseshoe crabs
1:30 - Nautilus, sea raven and blue lobster
2:00 - Help feed the dogfish sharks
2:30 - Target feeding "Lucy" and "Ricky" the triggerfish
3:00 - Lionfish
3:30 - Pufferfish demonstration
