Members Only! Tropical Fish Rescue at Ft. Wetherill

UPDATE 9/29 - EVENT IS CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER

Weather Permitting

Members Only - bring your membership card!

Space is limited and pre-registration is required!

Cost:  FREE

Join us as we collect some tropical strays who would not survive the winter here in our cold ocean water.  These lucky fish will then live here at Biomes!  We’ll bring field guides, seining nets, hand nets, buckets, and a few pairs of waders.

Please dress in clothes and shoes that can get wet and bring a towel and drinking water.  You may also bring any of your own ‘collecting’ supplies including snorkel gear.  There will be time and space to enjoy any snacks or lunch that you bring.

Water and shore safety are the responsibility of each family.  All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Out of respect for the ocean, any animals that are not coming back to Biomes will be left at the beach.

We will meet at the 'scuba launch'.

A Port-a-John is available at the site.
