Come to us and see over 100 different species of locally-collected marine life in over 80 different exhibits. Your class will learn gallons of information in our different learning stations, covering topics such as adaptations, habitats, feeding behaviors, and tropical strays. They will also get their hands wet in our petting stations featuring tidepool animals, eels, horseshoe crabs, sea stars and sharks!
All school visits to us are private and are held in the morning before we open to the public.
Maximum limit of 75 students per field trip.
Students may eat in our lunch area, which can accommodate up to 80 children.
Our gift shop carries a small variety of inexpensive items which are relevant to our center and the animals we have on exhibit.
1 Hour Field Trip
For pre-K and K
$7 per student. 1 adult free for every 5 students.
1½ Hour Field Trip
Grades 1 - 2 and mixed grades.
$8 per student. 1 adult free for every 5 students.
2 Hour Field Trip
For Grades 3 - 12, program is adapted for your grade level.
$9 per student. 1 adult free for every 5 students.
Your students will work in teams as they take turns visiting our learning stations including our hands-on exhibits. Set up in a "scavenger hunt" format, students will find the answers to grade appropriate questions about the animals in each station, followed by a live animal demonstration at the end.
Walk-In Field Trip
These trips are held during our public hours (12-5pm) and are designed for small groups of students (less than 30). Walk-In field trips are self-guided and there are no demos or feedings. Scavenger Hunt clipboards can be made available.
