Seaside Crafts - August 28th
You’ll have the opportunity to make a number of fun and beautiful sea-inspired
crafts tonight! Some of the crafts that will be available to make are: ocean in a
bottle, seashell stepping stones, and bubble-print fish! Crafts are designed for
children ages 3 and up. Younger children may need adult assistance. A portion
of tonight’s admission will be donated to Clean Ocean Access.
Tortoise Trek - September 4th
Darwin, our African Sulcata Tortoise, will be the main attraction tonight! He’ll
join us out on the floor as he follows a trail through the Center and if all goes
well, he’ll also help us create a one-of-a-kind piece of art! Darwin will be
available to pose for photos so bring your camera! A portion of tonight’s
admission will be donated to the Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of RI.
Vintage Video Game Night - September 11th
The Rhode Island Computer Museum (RICM) will be our host tonight! We're
breaking out the Atari, the Intellivision, SNES, Sega Master System,
Colecovision, N64 and more for some super-future fun. Adults who grew up
during the golden age of video games should be prepared to take a walk down
memory lane! You can also feel free to bring any systems and games you want to play - provided it's old retro! We’ll stay open a little later
tonight to accommodate all the late night gamers!
Captain Jack Sparrow - September 18th
Captain Jack will be making a repeat appearance here at Biomes! He’ll sail on over
and entertain us with a magic show and balloon animals! You won’t want to miss
this fantastic pirate performance! Captain Jack is so authentic you’ll think you’re on
the Black Pearl!
A Night with the Wolves - September 25th
Get ready to howl at the moon! Alyssa Grayson,
Junior Advisor with the National Wolfwatcher Coalition, will be leading our activities tonight. Alyssa will bring in a
number of wolf artifacts, read stories, and help us make wolf masks
and paw prints! A portion of tonight’s admission fees will be
donated to the Wolf Conservation Center.
